A seemingly easy trail along the slopes of Mala gora, but in reality more demanding than you expect. The paths of Mala gora are made in such a way that everyone can find something for themselves. Immersed in the silence of the forest, you hear only your footsteps, the rustle of leaves and you see the path winding in front of you. Sometimes a bit hidden – more caution is needed, but again a wide, macadam path, where the step runs faster, easier. At the top there are beautiful views of the Ribnica Valley, hidden between the two mountains. In the distance, the view reaches Snežnik and further to the Nanoška plateau. From the ridge towards Stene, the view caresses the distant peaks of Gorenjska and on the other side the hilly Gorjanci.
The ribn´ca trail takes place every year on the Saturday before the traditional pond fair. You can choose from three distances, named: KUHAVN’CA (12 km), ČEBULAR’CA (25 km) in RIBEŽ’N (40 km).
